Transparent Sentiment

This background was created with Dyan Dylusions spray in blue and a bit of white linen. And then stenciled in the flowers with white paint.
The butterflies are stamped in black archival inks and colored with Copic markers and fussy cut around.
The mauve rose is hand painted , sparkled up and also fussy cut around.
The sentiment was printed on the computer onto clear vellum and run thru the Cuttlebug with a Spellbinders die to create the frame.
One of the borders was also roughed up with one of Tim Holtz razors.

Transparent Butterfly

I was a little pressed for time and didn't quite get a nice photo of this (nothing new there!)
But this butterfly was double stamped on some acetate packaging, with archival ink and fussy cut around. It's a side view butterfly so I needed to stamp it twice to get the whole butterfly. It's adhered to the itself with some glossy accents and then to the card with the same.
You might be able to tell of it's 3D effect by the shadow it's casting.
It's dabbed with alcohol inks in blues and metallic silver.
Heart embossing folder creates the background
and the sentiment stamped in black archival ink and then some blue ink.

51st Anniversary

How quickly time goes by. This time last year Mom and Dad celebrated 50......50 years married.
This year 51!

Designer paper in the background.
Spellbinders Floral Ovals frames the sentiment.
Spellbinders dies make up the rolled roses, and the yellow ones are actually made with Tim Holtz' Pinecone die. (just had to give that one a try)
The butterfly is a Digi stamp colored with Copic markers.
Punched mini paper bow and leaves.
Big bow of Ribbon.
Embellished with pretty pearls, and glitter.
This card is also quite large....one 81/2x11 cardstock folded in half.

TLC

This Scrapbooking album was purchased from Michaels and altered with hand rolled flowers from Spellbinders dies. And a new Anna Griffin die used for the leafy background. Even tho the die embosses flowers in it, I chose to cover them with the 3d roses. Little pearl stamens were added after the photo was taken.

The album is a work in progress. Hopefully one that takes its time filling up. In it are those who are remembered with a photograph and a testament to their wonderful spirit during their short time with us. It is displayed in our Church were they attended a Cancer support group which was initiated and coached, among others, by my Mom and Dad.

Tag Box Set #3

This is the second little tag box I've created recently.
I created this little box with lid from a template Becca Feeken has on her BLOG.

I've used designer paper and die cut the tag 6x, stamped and heat embossed the sentiment on each. 5 for the tags, 1 for the box. Each tag was set with an metal eyelet.
The cool chain like ribbon, isn't metal, but rather soft and flexible...it's really neat.
A second designer paper used for the box is inked around the edges with
Vintage distress ink.

The reverse of the tag was left white for writing your own sentiments.

Heat Emboss on Vellum

Thought I'd give this a go...heat embossing on vellum.
I was surprised how the vellum could take the heat. BUT, after it set, it came off the vellum in places here and there. It didn't just fall off but when handling it, it flaked off.
So I'm not sure I'll use this technique again.

The flowers and butterfly stamped and heat embossed with white and then fussy cut around. Inked on the reverse side with Oceans and Lipstick distress ink.
Background embossed with the Poppy folder from Cuttlebug.
Sentiment inked with markers and stamped.

Spring is in the air....somewhere I'm sure

There's a bit of Spring in the air....at least in my card....not outside my window!!!

I soooo love the idea of these hinged cards- using my dies.
I'm having a bit of trouble getting consistently clean cuts with this die at the moment. I just keep at it until I get a good one.  A solution is on the way so I can, and will continue to create these cards. I trust the company and have received awesome service about it's replacement.
The stamp is from Just Rite and colored with copic markers with a bit of glitter glue.
The green rose is hand rolled, the blue ones where bought.
Leafy die and double bowed bow.
Second die cut layer is adhered with foam dots for dimension

Stencils and Paste

This card was sprayed with Dyan Dylusions  and stenciled with various designs.
The top layer I used white Paste and a flowered stencil.
I only just yesterday learned how to make the twine firm, so I will get at that and make the bows much prettier. The pink DD sprays bled into the paste and turned the white into a soft pink color.

This is the same flower stencil, but here I used ink instead of Paste.
Digi butterfly colored with copic markers and a TH Tattered flower spray inked.
